can your relationship handle the big move?

mine didn't.

actually i think moving kept us together for a while longer than we would have survived back home.

ours was a case of he moved here first, i joined him, he went home for some family engagements, then we kinda got back together when he came back to london. eight months and an 'i don't love you that way' later, i found myself alone but luckily established in london.

to be honest, mr wrong helped ease my stay into london. we stayed with his posse rent free for three months whilst travelling, so our biggest concern besides taking over their study as our bedroom was what to make our generous hosts for dinner. money was hard to come by but we had adventures discovering the city together. trying to make our money stretch became an adventure in itself, we were inventive, and lived for tesco specials.

my friend annabelle just moved to london with her partner bruce. they've been together for seven years and it's the itch time. they are both trying to crack the job market and whilst both are very qualified and earnt a lot of money, they are having problems converting their skills to the local market. the stress of job hunting and flat searching is taking its toll. instead of the creativity mr wrong and i came up with to face problems, they are bickering. it's driving me insane to be in their company. like having two really annoying relatives nag and nag all the time.
